advocacy
The club has an Advocacy Committee which takes up issues relevant to cycling.
Our major emphasis in the past year has been the promotion of a trail called the Box Hill to Ringwood Rail Trail, a path alongside the rail line for about 9 kms providing a safe route for cyclists travelling east-west.
This project has its own site at BHRRT web site
We are also interested in the Pipe Track which would provide a safe route from north-east to south-west along the reservation corridor over Melbourne Water pipes from Heatherdale to Syndal and beyond.
We also follow up other issues such as replacement of dangerous grates
